October 2001: October 31, 2001: Happy Halloween!!!! It is getting very close to the official opening day of Texas Deer season and my heart is going crazy.  I have had the opportunity to hunt in areas with MLD permits and I can assure you that the hunting should be great anywhere you may be hunting.  Some people ask me, "How can you know so much about such a large area as the United States?"  It is easy.  No matter where you hunt and no matter what condition the deer may be, it is deer hunting and that in itself is GREAT! Buck October 28, 2001: Rio 42 Ranch offered an excellent opportunity to see a lot of deer, turkeys and feral hogs.  Mark and I were both able to harvest nice mature bucks.  One was an 8 point and the other was a 10 point.  I will have pictures available of all of the deer harvested so far this year, shortly. October 25, 2001: Technology is going to  allow me to start updating the web page while we are hunting.  To catch you up on the last week, Mark and I hunted whitetail in Mexico and I was able to harvest a nice eight point with a kicker off one brow tine.  We hunted at Rancho La Barranca .  It was a lot of fun and the hospitality was excellent.  The nice thing about a hunt with this group is they will pick you up in Texas, take you across the border, they have guns for you at the ranch which saves you a lot of paperwork and money.  If you have always wanted to hunt  Mexico without the hassle, give Tony a call at Rancho La Barranca.
