Cissy Beasley & Webb County 9 pt. January 25, 2002:  Maybe one of the reasons there are not more women hunters....us guys could be wanting them to stay at home.  That way, they won't be able to make us look bad.  Congratulations Cissy, that is a fine deer.  She also sent a picture of another deer that I will share with you later.   Cissy Beasley & her Webb County 11 pt. January 22, 2002:  Many good things are happening at Texas Deer Hunter TV .  We are close to finalizing agreements to be aired in more Texas markets along with expansion into Oklahoma, Arkansas and Louisiana.   This years shows are full of good whitetails and other exciting hunts for elusive and exciting game animals.     Banner Ranch Wild Spanish Goat  January 20, 2002:  On my recent trip to the Headwaters Ranch, I met some gentlemen from Pennsylvania.  They were there to help Joey get his first deer.  I wish you could have seen the excitement of father and son when Joey harvested his first deer, an Axis doe.     Joey Goodhart age 5 1/2 yrs old with his first deer, an Axis doe and his dad David Headwaters Ranch   January 18, 2002;  Today, I will have the opportunity to travel to Fredericksburg, Texas to hunt the Headwaters Ranch with Josh Leininger.  Josh is eleven years old and is an accomplished hunter in his own right.  Look for pictures to come. .     (L-R) Tony Johnson, Rick Carter, Jason Browning, Don Otey   January 14, 2002;  Duck hunting with Tony Johnson and Rick Carter at Lake Fork was a lot of fun.  The lake is beautiful and the hunt was enjoyed by Don Otey of Coyote Company Leather and Jason Browning (Pro Staff Member) and myself.  Pictured above is Don Otey with the ducks and some of the Coyote Company products,  the Ultimate Lanyard and duck strap.  You can contact Tony Johnson about a duck hunt at Lake Fork 214-668-6213.   Banner Ranch 10 pt.   Lance & Banner Ranch 14 pt. Unusual set of antlers January 8, 2002:  The pictures above are of the deer Lance and I harvested on the Banner Ranch on our last hunt.  These people offer excellent hunting and Texas style hospitality.   Kelly Welch & Headwaters Ranch Buck January 7, 2002:  Earlier this year, I had the opportunity to hunt with Kelly at the Headwaters Ranch.  This is a new picture that Betsy Gourley sent me of her buck.  Thanks Betsy!!!! Happy New Year   A Good New Year Resolution.... Take a Kid Hunting Thomas Weber (age 9) & Foote Ranch Buck January 1, 2002:  The 2001 Deer Season as we know it is over.  Many, including myself will tell you that it was a difficult hunt.  The deer patterned early, but due to many different factors ???????, the big bucks seem to have disappeared.  There is still time in parts of the state.  So grab your hat and you warm clothes and lets get out there and see what we can find.  Have a Happy and Prosperous New Year.   Dr. Mike Thrasher's 10 Point, close but not close enough December 30, 2001;  Earlier this year I had the opportunity to bow hunt with Dr. Mike Thrasher of  Waco.  The buck above came in too early for the camera to see, at about 10 yards, but moved out of bow range when there was enough light for the camera .
